Prior to joining D.A.R.E. America, Nadine Moorin retired as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Houston Field Division after 21 years of service.
Nadine joined DEA in 1986 and her first assignment was at the DEA Los Angeles Field Division. During the next 11 years Nadine participated in undercover operations and conducted domestic and international narcotics investigations targeting Southeast and Southwest heroin violators.
In 1998, Nadine was promoted to Group Supervisor of the Los Angeles Southwest Border Group. Nadine supervised and oversaw complex, multi-jurisdictional narcotics and money laundering investigations targeting Mexican and Colombian poly-drug command and control leaders. Nadine also supervised the Special Support Unit which had oversight of the Demand Reduction Program.
Nadine was reassigned to DEA Headquarters, Office of International Operations in 2002. She provided operational and administrative support to DEA offices in the Far East region. Nadine developed coalitions with foreign law enforcement counterparts who were assigned to their country’s Embassy in Washington, D.C. She hosted visiting foreign law enforcement officials and provided briefings on current trends in narcotics trafficking throughout the world.
In 2003, Nadine was promoted to Section Chief, DEA Headquarters Office of International Operations/Programs, Europe, Middle East, Far East and Africa Section. Nadine and her staff prepared comprehensive oral briefings, briefing books and discussion papers for the DEA Administrator’s foreign travel and meetings with high level domestic and foreign law enforcement officials.
Nadine was reassigned to Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Houston DEA Field Division in 2005. Nadine managed and supervised 78 employees in two General Enforcement Groups, Tactical Diversion Squad, Asset Removal Group, Administrative Support Unit and the Special Support Unit which included the Demand Reduction Program.
Nadine received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University.
